2013 Resolutions~My Word of the Year

Hello all,
So how many of you have decided to make New Year's Resolutions for 2013?
I've really given it some thought, every year I make them and every year I always seem to quit after just a little bit of time.
A couple of weeks ago, my daughter and I were discussing what our resolutions would be, then she started telling me of some stats that she had recently read.
Did you know that:
75% of all people that make resolutions keep them
for
the
first
 week!
(Put me in that category)

Although at the end of the year only 8% actually stick with theirs.
(Die-hards, I tell you~Die-hards!)

I'm telling you people, I'm NOT making any resolutions for this year. Last year my resolution was to get our home in order. It was the same resolution I made the year before and the year before that. Here I sit, after yet another year and my home is still not in order. Will it ever be~I don't know. But this is the first year that I'm not making any resolutions. I'm tired of being in that 75% category. I think I'll be able to stick to that. lol or maybe I should make a resolution to not make any resolutions, that way I'd be in the 8% category. (Big grin inserted)

Seriously though ....
I am however going to make some adjustments with my time management and focus. FOCUS is my word of the year. I'm going to focus on finishing things before starting others. Between you and me, I'm very bad about that. I'm going to focus on the little changes made in and around our home, instead of being overwhelmed that I must make big changes for anything to get noticed or appreciated. I'm going to try to focus on the positives and not the negatives. (This is another hard one for me)
Focus is a good word for me this year. I like it and I really, really hope that I do stay focused for the year.

Did you make any New Year's Resolutions or make a Word of the year for yourself? I would love to read about them.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by
I really appreciate each and every visit.

From the Heart,
Jana
