DIY Painted Tin Can Beauties

Have you seen all the painted tin cans lately in blogland? Some painted, some with fabric and embellishments and some with just burlap added.

I've noticed a few that I really like. My attention was first caught when I seen the cans that Shannon over at Fox Hollow Cottage created a couple of weeks ago. I knew after seeing hers that I wanted to create some too.

First on the list was to collect some cans. I normally throw them away. I know, how wasteful when I could have been crafting with them.

Now seeing the stacks of tin cans sitting around in my craft room~my hubby thinks I've gone crazy! Even he is surprised at how great they look now that I've finished transforming them into the beauties they are now.

Here's the start. Plain empty tin cans.

Grab some cans, wash and dry them, then start creating!

I painted a two-tone look, then hot glued some Sisal rope and added a little touch of ribbon, placed some pine-cones in the smaller cans and flowers in the gallon can.

Voilá
They've been transformed
I think they look lovely now.
Don't you?

Now that I have stacks of tin cans
I see more little creations in my future.

Before/After again

From the Heart,
Jana
