DIY Chair Shabby Chic style

Remember the three chairs that I purchased a couple of weeks ago? Well, I got the second one finished and I love the new look. I've mentioned it a couple of times that one day I'm going to have a Shabby Chic decorated spare bedroom filled with whites, pinks and light green tones. Whenever that day comes I think this chair will go in there nicely or I may just make a set of chairs to go in the small casual eating area near the kitchen.

It started like any other chair just screaming to be all prettied up. Below is one of the 3 chairs that I got a couple of weeks ago.

It got a good sanding then primed and lightly sanded again.

Next I hand painted it in white and added splashes of pink and green and blended the colors to give it a chic coloring, then I did the spindles and legs in a gold wash to give it a shabby look.
After the paint was dry I applied water-slide transfers in different Rose patterns that I like on the top back and on the seating area. When all was completely dry I gave it a couple of coats of Minwax Polycrylic for a high shine and also to protect the surfaces.

This one shows more of a pink cast on the back. I wanted to get close for you to see the detail of the gorgeous rose.

I think the chair looks much better now and would go perfect around one of these indoor bistro tables. The hard part is picking the perfect one!
I really like this one, I think it would go great with two shabby chic chairs~what do you think?

  16. Look at stains and droplets on the used workplace chair's cushion. it is also sensible thinking to smell the cushion though you would possibly look funny doing it. Some stains or remnants of stains might not be seen however smelled. If the chair reeks, escape from it. you will not need alternative people's liquids transferred to you do not you?
