Weather~Rain and Tomatoes

No, I've not disappeared off the planet again altho I did go out of town a couple of days this week. We had a nice little get-a-way but there is no place like home.
The weather for the week...well let's just say that it has rained every single day. Crazy weather...a little over a week ago, we were having such hot temps up to 104 degrees and the high today will be mid 70's. The rain has sure cooled things off and it's not feeling like summer at all.
With all the rain, there's no outside picture taking for me. I have finished a project that I can't wait to show you all and as soon as the sun shines I'll take pictures to share.
Until then~here's a picture of the tomatoes that I picked yesterday from our garden. At least all this rain is being enjoyed by the veggie plants. I had two tomatoes weigh in at over a pound.

Guess what I did with those green tomatoes last night?? Yep, fixed some fried green tomatoes and they were oh so good!
Y'all have a fabulous weekend and I hope to be back next week with some new projects to share~weather permitting.

From the Heart,

  1. Here in the north we are still a few weeks away form tomatoes, I can't wait! Thanks for stopping by, Laura

  2. We were the hot- and now we are humid with a chance of thunderstorm! I love Thunderstorms though! :) Great Tomatoes! Enjoy your weekend!

  3. I sure wish you would send over some of that rain our way, we haven't had rain in over 20 days! I sure would of like some of those green tomatoes, we have a few weeks before we have tomatoes large enough to fry or eat! Thanks for sharing your creative inspiration with Sunday's Best!

  4. Yummy Fried Green Tomatoes! Now I want to watch the movie... again. If you're ever in Georgia, be sure to go to Juliette and eat at the restaurant. They were so good!

I love comments and I always take the time to write you back to say "Thanks" if you don't have your setting to noreply. Just know that I appreciate each and every comment left. They make my day!
